SAS9.3于美国时间2011年7月12日星期二（大陆时间可能是7.13）正式发布了。

SAS公司美女员工Alison Bolen综合她的同事意见，给出10个关注新版本SAS9.3的利用。大家都知道，SAS语法从诞生到现在，都是向上兼容的，也就是你80年代的代码，现在还能跑，如果功能够用的话，作为一个SAS程序员，你可以几十年不用充电学习新语法，还能够靠SAS编程谋生，这在IT界简直是不可想象的。

其实每一个SAS版本的更新，都会有新的功能出现，比如这里有几个版本SAS函数的变化。SAS9被不管是稳定性，还是功能上，都被认为是SAS发展上重要的里程碑之一。但是随着现在新一轮的IT发展高潮，SAS9.1，9.2和9.3版本之间都有很大的变动，毕竟需求发展太快了，Goodnight可不能坐以待毙。

1，模块Enterprise Miner生存节点（survival node）更新；

2，添加新分析过程语句GROOVY procedure到BASE模块；

3，很多PROCS语句支持Tweedie模型分布；

4，SAS模型管理3.1版本能保留模型（？）；

5，分析语句PROC SEVERITY很高级；

6，分析语句PROC Univariate支持Gumbel分布；

7，绘图模块中的ODS功能被整合到BASE模块

8，增加函数 YRDIF function；

9， updates to the CLONE and NCLONE options for copying.

10，Finally … because analytics is the hottest career for today’s graduates and jobseekers.

So, that was fun. But in all seriousness, this isn’t your typical app store upgrade. One look at the release documentation from SAS Publishing, and you can see that dozens of SAS products are being improved with hundreds of new features and capabilities. 好像这十个亮点不是非常亮，可能是个别点引起部分人的兴趣把。美女的看法和我的看法不一样啊，我认为只有三个亮点，这里只提了一点。三个亮点分布是：1，网络计算，2，ODS放BASE里面了。 3，高性能的PROC.
